This summer, we spent a little over six weeks in the Atlantic Provinces of Canada.

In New Brunswick, we visited Fundy National Park and drove up to the Hopewell Rocks when the tide was out.  You can see the erosion line of high tide.

Next is Nova Scotia.  A neat TIME clock and TIDE clock in Digby, NS

We took an 8-hour ferry to Newfoundland and met our friends in St Johns.

These photos were taken at Cape Spear.

This is a photo of St Johns, taken from Signal Hill.

Then, we drove up to Elliston to see the Puffins and we found hundreds of them.

 This is the island where their nests are.  A few of them flew over to where we were.

On our way back to the motorhome, we saw one moose.

These were taken near Trinity, NL, a fishing village.

 These are Lupines.  We saw them everywhere.

Twillingate, NL,  a nice fishing village.  We saw whales here, also.

Arches Provincial Park.  You can see Gerald and the dogs.

We saw some Caribou in Gros Morne National Park.

Newfoundland is a rock with only a tiny bit of topsoil.  To stabilize the telephone poles, they had rocks built up around them.

We saw our first icebergs.

This is Fishing Point, near St. Anthony.

St. Barbe,In the morning, there was a moose in the campground. She wasn't sure how to get out.

After 20 days in Newfoundland, we went to Prince Edward Island.  It has a red sandstone coast.

After PEI, we spent a few more days in New Brunswick.  In Shippagon, this was a fishing fleet in dry dock.
